Unifab was founded in August 1999 - rising from the ashes of Interior Mill Equipment. After IME closed in the spring of 1999, a highly dedicated group of people invested in Unifab to create a quality driven and people focused company primarily within the forest industry.
After the first few years a smaller group of people (including the current owner - Kevin Dowkes) embraced the primary ownership and management of Unifab. In March 2015, Unifab became solely owned by Kevin Dowkes.
Over the years Unifab has expanded through various industries and products.
The next chapter of Unifab will embrace a generation of youth while retaining the current company. It will see substantial growth through leadership, investment, innovation, training, and a commitment to do great things.
